Natural Habitat: Drier tropical forests of Mexico, close to water sources
Enclosure recommendations
Adults should be housed in an enclosure measuring 45x45x60cm as the minimum size. Babies can be placed in their adult sized enclosure straight away.
They should have thermostatically controlled overhead heating as this species love to bask. UV lighting is beneficial and recommended. A digital thermometer or heat gun should be used to measure temperatures accurately.
This species do very well in live-planted bioactive enclosures, and love lots of branches to allow them to reach the height that they love to sit at.
