Corn snakes are a great choice when it comes for a first, second or third pet snake. A hardy species perfect for new keepers to learn the ropes with a sweet nature and manageable size.
Females will be larger than males and can be expected to reach 5 ft in length requiring an adult tank size approximately 4ft x 2ft as appose to males which typically do well in a 4ft.
For adults we would advice thermostatically controlled over head heating set to a 30-32*C basking spot. However, babies tend to do fine on heat mats given their lighter body weights.
The benefit of going for a juvanile animal is the enjoyment of watching them grow along side the benefit of being more confident in a larger enclosures and more use to handling.
