Suriname True Red Tail Boa For Sale

£525.00

Suriname boas are deceptively great beginner snakes. Other than their size (a pro for many), they are hardy, great feeders and easy to care for. With their size they can range from 6-10ft, with females topping those scales.

  • Photos taken June 2024

  • Currently for sale in our Iver reptile shop

  • Age: Approx CB23/24

  • Sex: Female

  • Suitable for: Beginner keepers committed to a larger snake species or someone looking to expand their collection

  • Captive bred? Yes, CB2023

  • Handling: fine being handled though hook training is recommended for when they grow.

  • Size range: currently around 1-1.5ft

  • Housing and habitat: At current a 3ft vivarium with upgrade to minimum 6ft x 2ft vivarium as adult, larger is recommended for a snake this large.

If you’ve got the space for a 6ft viv then go big or go home with a great species like this!

This specific species of Boa is much larger and stronger than the common boa imperator. Power feeding can be lethal so we recommend only feeding her after she has defecated.
