Micro / Scaleless Headed Royal Python/Ball Python
Sex: Female
Suitable for: beginner keepers
Captive bred? Yes hatched CB4.8.23
Handling: friendly and loving a cuddle
Size range: as adult 3-5ft dependent on gender.
Housing and habitat: as baby a small vivarium with 24/7 thermostatically controlled heating, either over head or heat mat. As adult a 4ft x 2ft vivarium with overhead heating, again with appropriate thermostat.
Suitable for: first time reptile owners after a stunning new family pet.
As a hatchling this specimen will require a smaller enclosure to ensure they will consistently feed, however, this will need upgrading as he grows, eventually into a 4ft vivarium as an adult.
This species requires basking temperatures of 32-35 Celsius, with a minimum night time drop to 22 Celsius and ideally thrives in areas of 50-60% humidity.
UV lightning is not necessary for this species although studies show they benefit from exposure to UV rays.
This species does not require feeding as often as most other pets.
As babies they will typically eat once a week
Juvenile to sub adult once a fortnight
As an adult once a month, depending of food items offered
So a very low feeding cost in comparison to other species, and perfect for those new to the hobby as maintaining feeding schedule is easier to manage.
