Handling: Handleable, but can be fast
Size range: Maximum of 10 inches at adult size
Housing and habitat: 90x45x90 Bioactive Exoterra, although larger is better for this species as they’re very active and like to get around at canopy and ground level due to high activity.
Suitable for: Beginners and experienced keepers alike, especially if looking for a more unique species that are very active.
These fantastic green lizards are exactly what comes to mind when you think of the word “lizard”. Displaying vibrant colours and sporting possibly one of the longest tails you might find on a lizard, this species is super active and inquisitive- they also make great pets, this handsome dude even drinks water from a sprayer when offered it!
Although perhaps the coolest fact about this species is they are a species that is known to be able to produce fertile eggs via parthenogenesis without a male present!! Unfortunately, this individual came to us with a history of Metabolic bone disease which explains why he looks slightly different to our other Conehead Lizards.
This being said we have stopped the ongoing issue of MBD, although the damage is irreversible it does not hinder him going about his day and living a happy healthy life!
