Unlike their more common cousins the Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Columbians lose their patterning as they age, meaning their iridescence becomes even more vivid!

Enclosure recommendations
Hatchlings can be housed in smaller terrariums or vivariums whilst young. Adults should be housed in a well-sealed vivarium measuring a minimum of 4ft in length.
Thermostatically controlled and guarded overhead heating should be provided 24/7 as this species does not tolerate significant temperature drops at night.
They appreciate plenty of clutter in the form of plants, hides and low branches within the enclosure, and a soil/coconut husk substrate that will help to maintain the constantly high humidity requirements of this species.
