  • Average Adult Size: Males 4-5ft long, Females 5-6ft long

  • Average Lifespan: 20 years plus

Enclosure recommendations

Adult Bolivian Boas should be housed in a vivarium measuring 4-6×2×2ft. Juveniles can be housed in a smaller enclosure with the view to upgrade when this is outgrown.

Thermostatically controlled and guarded overhead heating should be provided. Temperatures and Humidity should be measured with a digital thermo-hygrometer or heat gun for accuracy. Low level UV lighting is beneficial.

This species enjoy a large water bowl, a thick substrate layer to facilitate burrowing, hiding opportunities and lots of enclosure enrichment.
