Thermostatically controlled overhead heating should be provided, with temps measured using a digital thermometer or heat gun. Low level UV lighting, such as 7% Arcadia Shadedweller, is beneficial, alternatively the animals should be supplemented with vitamin D3. Their ideal basking temp is 32-34c.

Fat Tailed Geckos require multiple hides within their enclosure, one of which should be filled with moist sphagnum moss to aid in their shedding cycle. Their ideal ambient humidity requirement is 40-60%.
