Sex: Unsexed
Captive bred? yes CB2024
Palmetto (Bug-Eyes)
Females will be larger than males and can be expected to reach 5ft in length requiring an adult tank size approximately 4ft x 2ft as appose to males which typically do well in a 4ft.
For adults we would advice thermostatically controlled over head heating set to a 30-32*C basking spot. However, babies tend to do fine on heatmats given their lighter body weights.
The benefit of going for a baby animal is the enjoyment of watching them grow and the reduced space and costs for the first set ups - although these will need to be upgraded as the animal grows.
Our babies are currently eating once a week, and all sizes and style of feeding are documented onto personal feeding cards - which come with them to their new home.
As these animals mature they will move onto larger items less often. Provided your snake is of good body proportions feed items should be a similar width to the widest part of their body.
Adult kits and vivariums in a range of sizes also available.
