Cuddly Adult Male Ball Python For Sale - Perfect For Kids!
Currently for sale in our Iver reptile shop.
Photos taken February 2024, age: approx 15 years
Sex: male
Suitable for: beginner keepers looking for a friendly and handleable family pet
Captive bred? Yes, approx 2009
Handling: super cuddly
Size range: adult male 3-4ft
Housing and habitat: 4ft vivarium with overhead heating set to 32-35*C using an appropriate thermostat.
Great beginner species, suitable for novice and experienced keepers alike as well as a family pet, a heavy bodied, slow moving, gentle species that is perfect for children, under adult supervision.
As a hatchling this specimen will require a smaller enclosure to ensure they will consistently feed, however, this will need upgrading as he grows, eventually into a 4ft vivarium as an adult.
This species requires basking temperatures of 32-35 Celsius, with a minimum night time drop to 22 Celsius and ideally thrives in areas of 50-60% humidity. UV lightning is not necessary for this species although studies show they benefit from exposure to UV rays.
This species does not require feeding as often as most other pets. As babies they will typically eat once a week, juvenile to sub adult once a fortnight, then as an adult once a month, depending of food items offered, so very low feeding cost in comparison to other species and perfect for those new to the hobby as maintaining feeding schedule is easier to manage.
