Natural habitat: Coastal plains of North America
Enclosure Requirements
This species do great in bioactive enclosures with plenty of hides, cork rounds and logs, as well as a large shallow easily-accessible water area that should be refreshed daily. They enjoy a deep soil-based substrate layer to allow them to burrow. Heating should be thermostatically controlled, and a digital thermo-hygrometer should be used to measure temperature and humidity accurately.
