Sand boas are an awesome smaller snake species which burrow into loose substrates to make tunnel networks. Due to their burrowing tendencies we recommend over head heating over heat mats however both can be effective when used correctly to achieve basking temperatures around 30-32*C.
With the Dodoma this animal has much more intense orange colouration than your standard sand boas.
