Currently for sale in our Bourne End reptile shop.

  • Photos taken January 2024, age: Less than one year ol

  • Sex: Female

  • Captive bred? Yes, CB23

  • Handling: Tolerates handling well but can be a little defensive but this is to be expected with hatchlings until they get more confident, not really one to bite.

  • Size range: currently less than 12” approximately 5-6 foot as an adult.

  • Housing and habitat: A tropical species requiring moderate temperatures of 28-30c at the basking spot with ambient temps being around 28c. Humidity is key to the success of this species in captivity as well as a considerable sized water bowl as they LOVE bodies of water!

  • Suitable for: Beginners and Experienced keepers alike.

The pattern and colouration on this female speak for itself! From her deep red colouring coupled with a mottled circular pattern all down the length of her body topped off with that iridescent glow we all know and love about this species makes this a dream species for most keepers. Additionally, being as young as she is you would be able to work with her from young to establish that bond.
