Suitability: Well-researched beginner
Average Lifespan: 7 years
Average Adult Size: 7 to 10 inches
Diet: Live insects and Crested Gecko Diet
Natural Habitat: Tropical forests of Southeast Asia
Enclosure recommendations
Emerald Tree Skinks require enclosures measuring a minimum of 60×45×90cm (Lxdxh) with thermostatically controlled overhead heating and UV lighting.
They have higher humidity requirements, but care should be taken to avoid the enclosure becoming stagnant. Temperatures and humidity should be measured with digital thermo-hygrometers for accuracy.
This species are highly arboreal (tree-dwelling), so do great in live-planted bioactive enclosures with plenty of climbing enrichment in the form of branches, cork rounds and vines.
