Enclosure recommendations
Adult African Fat Tailed Geckos should be housed in a vivarium measuring 3ft long as the minimum size. We recommend that babies are housed in their adult enclosure straight away as they grow very quickly.
Thermostatically controlled overhead heating should be provided, with temps measured using a digital thermometer or heat gun. Low level UV lighting is beneficial. Their ideal basking temp is 32-34c.
Fat Tailed Geckos require multiple hides within their enclosure, one of which should be filled with moist sphagnum moss to aid in their shedding cycle. Their ideal ambient humidity requirement is 40-60%.
Full enclosure kits are available.
