These adorable babies are the largest European species of tortoise! They are a CITES paperwork species, so they are microchipped and do come with the appropriate paperwork.

Handling: These guys are very handleable as babies, but as the largest European species of tortoise, they can get heavy as adults.
Maximum adult size: Adults can reach up to 35cm (14 inches) in length and weigh up to 5kgs!
Housing and habitat: For adults a 4x2 enclosure is minimum, they will always use bigger environments when it’s provided, however they thrive best in the garden with some free roaming!!
Similar to most other European species, these tortoises hibernate once old enough.
They are a fully herbivorous species, but please always check certain fruits and veg before feeding!
